Load Planner / Traffic Scheduler

We are seeking a Load Planner,  Traffic Scheduler to work within our busy Traffic Team based at Rochester, reporting to the Transport Manager.

 

Applicants must have previous experience of load scheduling, ideally within a General Haulage environment dealing with flatbed, curtainsided and abnormal load traffic. You will also have experience of vehicle scheduling systems and be fully IT literate.

 

Main responsibilities will include.

 

• Day to day routing and planning of the fleet.
• Maximising vehicle utilisation to its fullest potential, while pro-actively seeking new opportunities to improve.
• Ensuring that Company and Health & Safety policy are adhered to.

 

 

A national CPC would be an advantage but not essential. Hours of work are approximately 55 hours per week, working on an early and late shift system. There will also be a need to work some Saturday mornings.

We are a nationwide haulier involved in General Haulage, primarily on flat bed and curtainsider trailers. We are currently recruiting LGV Class 1 drivers to be based at our Rochester depot for local, long distance and multi drop distribution work.

LGV Class 1 Drivers

Day Shift – General Haulage

Applicants for General Haulage will ideally have had previous experience, particularly roping and sheeting, although full training will be given to the right candidates. Applicants must be willing to have nights out and undertake some weekend work, mainly Saturdays. Average Earnings are approximately £450 per week gross for 5 days dependant on workload, PLUS Night Out subsistence and Overtime paid extra.

L G V Class 1 Drivers

Night Shift Trunking

Position will involve trunking between our own depots or external hub operations. Average earnings are approximately £500 per week gross for 5 days with the potential for additional overtime at weekends.
